Hotel House Person / Houseman / Porter

Job description

La Quinta Inn & Suites Hotel is looking for a house person with excellent people skills who is motivated and attentive to provide our guests with a memorable experience at our hotel. We need a multi-talented individual who can perform a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include keeping hotel public areas clean such as hallways, meeting rooms, and lobbies. You will also make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities and bedding, and complete any special projects as directed by managers. Our ideal candidate has one or more years of previous experience in a house person or houseman role and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Walk all assigned floors at beginning of the shift and collect trash, soiled linen, and other items per management requests
• Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including restrooms, hallways, lobby, and other workspaces
• Walk outside areas and remove trash from outside bins and parking lot
• Helps with other cleaning projects assigned by supervisors as and when needed
• You will also make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities and bedding, and complete any special projects as directed by managers

Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of cleaning products and techniques
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills
• At least 1 year of experience as a houseperson or houseman preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
